I was transferred from Oswestry Hospital to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital & saw Mr S Haleem on the 14th of January 2023. At this first meeting I was very impressed by Mr Haleem. I had 4 X-RAYS on that day & was sent home to await a CT & MRI date. I had my CT on the 15th of February & a MRI on the 20th of February. I contacted the Hospital today 01 March to be told that I now have to wait until the end of April 2023 before I will see Mr Haleem again. I understand that I am not the only person waiting for results & that Mr Haleem is a very busy man. I had to wait 4 years for a MRI & I have had 3 CT Scans & 3 MRI,s since January 2021. I have now been waiting 25 months for my operations to repair my spine only to be told I have to wait a further 2 months to see my consultant & probably a further 2 to 6 months if not longer before my operations. Yes I am very disappointed & annoyed that I have to keep being in constant back & leg pain, unable to walk without crutches, unable to sleep properly & the possibility of my condition getting worse because of all these delays.

Mr Haleem has kindly agreed to take on my surgery from oswestry orthopaedic, he has been true to his word, seeing me every 2 weeks to obtain mriresults and organise surgery- he’s explained everything fully, made sure I understood and has a great sense of humour too!!

I was seen by Dr Haleem at the end of December. He recommended me to do another MRI Scan since the last one I did expired. Managed to do my MRI Scan on January 17th and Mr Haleem called me the next day explaining the results l. He offered me to do an urgent surgery and I was admitted to ROH on January 18th and had the operation done the next day. Today I mark a month after my surgery and I can happily say, it went successfully and I highly recommend Mr Haleem. He is extremely kind, cautious, helpful and understanding.

Mr S Haleem is courteous, extremely intelligent, very caring, allows patients to explain what they feel, explains everything about what patients are feeling in a very articulate way, demonstrates his explanations perfectly with the use of some really fantastic equipment and his diagnosis is 100% spot on. An exceptional man & human being.

After years of suffering..he truly has worked miracles. The surgeon was polite chatty approachable. Made me feel that the care he gave was centred around me as the patient. I am truly grateful for the compassion shown towards me.
